Photos

A panoramic view of Glasgow from The Lighthouse. It is a museum in the city.

Yep, you are seeing correctly, that is a cardboard couch and lamp. Yes, I sat on it. It was comfortable considering what it was made out of!

The new next to the old. It is amazing to see so much different architecture next to each other.

Here are a few pictures from around Glasgow for everyone! I hope to do some more sight seeing soon, but I don't know when that will all happen. For those of you who are unable to view the photos, I apologize. I won't be able to post all of them in the blog since there is a limit to the number of photos on each post. I will try to find a free photo sharing site when I have time.

Tonight was also opening night of the show. It felt like any other show, there were no special butterflies or jitters on my end. Perhaps it is because I don't feel like it is really that stressful. I don't think I have ever been so calm before a show before. It was odd. I am far more used to feeling a couple of jitters all things considered. But the show is open, and it can only get better right?

Arrival

I've arrived in Glasgow, Scotland after hours of travel and three flights later. The day started out just fine with last minute packing, breakfast, and the first flight. From there it was a 6 hour wait in Chicago, where I was bored out of my mind, and then on to Ireland. We had a delay here, but it seemed to all work out alright.

The flight over to Dublin was actually very nice. The plane was nice, and everyone had individual tv screens to watch whatever they wanted. The food was mediocre at best, and the seats were a bit uncomfortable. But over all it was nice. I'd most likely fly them again if given the choice.

Once we got in to Glasgow we gathered at the hotel and then went our separate ways. My current roommate and I wandered a bit and both bought phones for here now. So...I do have a phone number. However, I will not be posting it here. If you would like it, please contact me via e-mail or through facebook.

The city is quite beautiful, old with a lot of character. I'll try to upload pictures soon. The hotel is nice.

Tomorrow will mark the first day of work with an 11 am work call. I'm not really sure what time that means I should be in the lobby, but it'll all work out I'm sure.

Not much else to tell, and I'll try to update again soon!

The Countdown

Hey there everyone! It's been a while since I last updated this here blog. I know I've told all of you that I would update often.

Well, it's fair week, and things are moving a quite the pace! I've had my fill of cheese curds and elephant ears.

The countdown has started. I will be departing in about 28 days. There is so much left to do and not a lot of time to do it in.

More later...

Madison

Wow. It has been a while since I've updated this here blog with anything substantial. I apologize for that, but then again, what do you expect? Dial up and I don't really get along. That is why I am updating while at Coral's (in Madison) since she has cable.

In case you have caught it, I am going to be going on tour with Disney on Ice: Finding Nemo. I have generated a map on Google Maps. It is titled "Where in the world...", in case you want to find it. I do realize that the link that I tried to use didn't work. *sigh* Not so good on the whole computer technology thing.

Almost as good:

Dan is the one that managed to inform me that there was indeed a way to do something like this. A big WOOT! to having tech savvy friends. He is also the reason - or rather a big part of it - that I am down here in Madison in the first place. There was really nothing on earth that was going to prevent me from hanging out with him since he was so good to be in this neck of the woods to begin with. Oh the sacrifice...;) Anyway, picked him up from work, then went to his hotel for some swimming. After becoming sufficiently prune-ish we went to a really good thai place for dinner. Bumped into Dan Bush while we were there. That was a flash to the past. Eventually we meandered our way to back to the hotel to watch some Tour de France and then out to Crystal Corner, which is a bar where a friend of his was playing in a band. I got completely schooled in pool and foos ball. Which really means that I should probably go out to the bars more often in order to become more proficient in such sports.

Also while at the bar, the tender cooked up a drink that he calls the "pink pantie" and it was pretty good. But I'm also a light weight. There is nothing I can do to help that though. Damn genetics. Then it was back to the hotel for some sleep. King size sleep number bed. Good times and pleasant dreams. Breakfast was delish, and then it was time to part. Again. It's hard sometimes to say bye to someone when you don't know when you are going to see them again. But I have faith that our paths will cross again.

Then I headed to Coral's work place, got keys to her apartment, and hung out there for the rest of the day. And that is what I've done so far. I know, not very exciting. Meh. Perhaps I'll come up with something else before I head back home.

Where in the World...

For those of you who would like to keep up with me, please feel free to follow me around on the map that is linked here:

Where I am will be in green, where I am headed in red, and where I have been in blue. That works. I will try to update it regularly, but I can't promise.

More later about other topics.

Tour?

So, just to inform all of you out there who enjoy reading the odd ramblings that I often produce, I just thought I would let you know that I may or may not be joining an international touring show. There are no specifics at this time, and nothing is for sure, but it is an option that I have been pursuing.

In other news, I have gotten my iPod fixed (it didn't want to hold) and have gotten some nifty things to protect my computer.

With nothing else exciting to add, I will conclude this post.
